When we talk about quality, the first thing that comes to mind is the standard or degree of excellence for a particular subject or matter. Quality relates to the efforts, human intelligence and hard work put into building various things or products.

Each country has developed a particular benchmark or standard to measure the quality of items or services, whether it relates to manufacturing, agriculture, performance etc.

An international standard, known as International Organization for Standardization "ISO", has been set up to measure the quality of any process, product etc., using specific and predefined parameters.

Despite these standards, markets worldwide contain products and services that could be of better quality or up to mark against the quality standards.

You may be astonished to hear the foresightedness of the Founder of Pakistan "Quaid-e-Azam.", who, after independence, while addressing industrialists, said that "Despite all the hardships and bottlenecks, the products manufactured by you must be of very high quality and Made in Pakistan shall be the symbol of pride."

Unfortunately, over time, Pakistanis could not fulfil Quaid-e-Azam's desire. Although Pakistan exports several goods, including sports and surgical items, agricultural products like fruits, crops etc., which are of good quality, the Country needs to improve and build quality products in each field to grow its economy.

If we look at Quranic scripture, we can relate quality to two words, "Hassan" and "Ahsan", which means optimal & complete balance and excellence. And in this regard, human beings must develop an optimal balance and quality of life within themselves and around them.

Therefore, we should develop this ability to excel in our lives to benefit from the blessings bestowed by God Almighty.
